Weekend Fun and new Weekly Project

Hey Folks, 

So, I determined that weekends is where I'll build or paint things that have no bearing on what I actually want to get done.  

On Saturday I built:

5 Chaos Terminators

5 Chaos Raptors (old 2nd ed ones that I can't wait to paint)

5 Chaos Marines to fill out an existing 5 man squad

5 Robed Dark Angels to fill out an existing squad

Various Dark Elf Cold ones

I tried to get a Warmachine game in with the Retribution that I painted this last week, but it was packed and I bailed after waiting for 2 hours.  By the way, how the hell does a 15 point game last 2 hours?

New Weekly Project: Warriors of Chaos

I may be overstretching myself, but the plan is:

1. 24 Nurgle Warriors with Halberds and Shields

2. 20 Warhounds

3. 24 Tzeentch Warriors with Swords and Shields.

Everything is built and based, it's all about slapping down paint now!

Weekly Goal Complete - Dawnguard Invictors

Success!  Good week of painting has me accomplishing this weeks goal of getting a bunch of Retribution of Scyrah stuff completed.  The last on the Cold Painting Table was a full unit of Invictors with UA.  The last unpainted Ret stuff that I need to finish off is a full unit of Magehunters.  But, I am Ret'd out for the time being, so I think I'll hold off on them for a later date.

Side note, those new Chaos Daemons chariots look pretty boss.  I have my 3rd edition unpainted Emperor's Children army out looking at me.  I think that they need some daemon allies......

2 Casters and a Lock

Hey Folks,


Quick update.  Finished the next part of this weeks roll off painting list; Adepts Rahn and Lord Arcanist Ossyan.  I am happy with Rahn, but this would be the the third attempt at Ossyan.  He was the first Retributio os Scyrah mini I picked up and there was a number of tests for the glow effect of him that I improved upon for the jack's and Rahn.  He's still tabletop quality, but I am sure that I'll eventually pick up another one to replace him at a later date.

I had finished Kallus, Wrath of Everblight a while ago, but finally finished his basing with the same kit as the Throne of Everblight I posted earlier.  

Now I am on to a full unit of Dawnguard Invictors with UA!

I managed to finish off the Manticore, Gorgon and Chimera.  Next up is Ossyan then Rahn.  Both casters are already close to being done.  It'll be nice to finish them off.  Hypnos is on the way here, but I don't know if I'll be building him anytime soon.

MERCS - Keizai Waza

Hey Folks, 

Here's an update of something that I finsihed last week.  I picked up a MERCS box on a whim and am I ever glad I did.  It's a super fun game using cards for movement and a bunch of d10's.  The awesome part is that you get every mini you need in one box!

I feel like I rushed these guys, but I really just wanted them out of the way so that I can paint other things.  Plus this way I can say I have another fully painted game system to play. :)

For this week, I figured that I'd list 6 projects that I am working on and roll a die to figure out what's on the plate.  Here's the list:

1. Warriors of Chaos

2. Necrons

3. Legion of Everblight

4. Retribution of Scyrah

5. Infinity - Yu Jing Japanese Sectorial

6. Anima Tactics - Empire

.......and I got a 4!  So, this is what I got for myself in this order to work on:

10 Dawngaurd Invictors with UA.

I am checking out Dark Knight Rises tonight, but have tomorrow night open to ideally hammer out the 3 'jacks.  Then I'll get to work on those 'casters.

Hey Folks,

Had this on my desk for too long so I finished it off tonight.  I feel like I rushed the sorceress on top, but that's ok by me.  I do like how the plating turned out on the tentacles, and plan to use that recipe for the rest of my Legion warbeasts.
